N. Jakarta Mayor Wants All Pump Houses to Be Checked

North Jakarta Mayor, Husein Murad instructs his subordinate to check all facilities and infrastructures. Including pump houses and portable pumps in urban villages and sub-districts.

Pump houses are in good condition and functioned normally

"I want all sub-district heads to check all pumps, whoever the owners. This is to ensure pumps in good condition and functioned well for rainy season preparation," he said, Saturday (10/21). 

According to him, apparatus in urban village and sub-district will help to handle inundation and flood if happened.

Meanwhile, North Jakarta Water Resources Dept. Head, Santo added, current condition of pump houses, pumps, and floodgate are good. All can be functioned well. Moreover, his side has checked and tested the pumps.

"Pump houses are in good condition and functioned normally. Currently we are still repairing two pumps, but next week it could be functioned again," he said.

According to him, there are 14 pump houses managed by SDA Sub-dept. and 23 pump houses managed by SDA Dept.  in North Jakarta. Two repaired stationer pumps are Pinang Pump House in Lagoa Urban Village, Koja and Bimoli Pump House in Penjaringan.

Besides pump houses, his side also prepares three mobile pumps and three portable pumps with capacity 250 liter per second each units. If it is still not enough, his side will ask assistance from SDA Dept.'s Eastern Flow, West Flow, or even Center Flow to send more pumps.
